Sirio Studios is a film production company based in Potenza. The opening to the international context, especially the Indian one, places Sirio Studios in the trade fair sector of locations (IIFTC, Mumbai, March 2018) and of the knowledge of the most important Bollywood producers, Indian managers and prestigious actors, including the well-known Kabir Bedi “Sandokan” guest in Puglia and Basilicata.
In 2018 the CEO Angelo Viggiano organizes the first Master Class “Cinema trades” with the Italian actors Alessio Boni and Edoardo Leo and, subsequently, thanks to location scouting work, the arrival of new Indian companies is encouraged (Location to Location of Bangalore, 2019; Suddher Babu of Hyderabad with the actor, screenwriter and director Harsha Vardhan, 2019) fascinated by the territory of the Basilicata, Campania and Sardinia regions.

LA NOTTE PIÙ LUNGA DELL’ANNO
Simone Aleandri’s film takes place and takes place all in one night: the longest night of the year, between 21 and 22 December (winter solstice) when the sun sets around 4.30 pm and rises the next day at 7.30. A long night, in which stories, destinies, anxieties, tragedies of a southern provincial town intertwine, even if only by touching each other. Fifteen hours of uninterrupted darkness, therefore, in which human destiny becomes exceptional, since the night makes anchorages of the day and four personal affairs – all of a sudden – undergo an acceleration. In the cast Ambra Angiolini, Massimo Popolizio, Alessandro Haber, Mimmo Mignemi, Antonio Petrocelli, Anna Ammirati and Massimo De Francovich.

New film productions
The Claps case – The Rai series will retrace the story of the disappearance, on 12 September 1993, of the sixteen-year-old Elisa Claps from Potenza. The research of the student, as known, ended in 2010. On 17 March, in the attic of the church of the Santissima Trinità, in the historic center of Potenza, the discovery of the girl’s remains. And that March 17, 2010, the tragic discovery later led to the identification of his killer: Danilo Restivo.

In 2021 Sirio Studios takes care of the executive producer of the film “La Notte più lunga dell’anno” (The longest night of the year) by Simone Aleandri, a Clipper Media and Rai Cinema production, starring Ambra Angiolini and Alessandro Haber, and in 2022 opens the co-production of the film “Il meglio di te” (The best of you) with Maria Grazia Cucinotta and Vincent Riotta, to be released in 2023, a Golden Hour Films and Rai Cinema production.
